Dr. Allysia Gibson is a mother of three amazing adult children; ages 25, 22, and 19. Bonus mom to two ages 17 and 16 and the proud wife to Dr. (Minister)Derrick Gibson.
She and her husband are servant leaders at Mount Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dr. Allysia is an ordained minister of the gospel and accepted the call by God to teach his Word in 2014.
With a call to leading women, Minister Allysia Gibson is the legacy leader of Woman-2-Woman PowerTalk, a ministry designed to empower women according to Titus 2. Her vision for Powertalk is to create safe spaces for women to glean from, encourage, and empower each other to be all that God had crafted them to be.
Dr. Allysia is a veteran educator and has taught middle school ELA for over 25 years. She currently coaches teachers and provides support to ELA teachers in this region. Her passion and desire to see our children succeed in the educational arena has allowed her to be awarded many honors including, “Highest percentage of proficient students” for several years in the state of Louisiana.
Additionally, Allysia is the founder of W.O.R.S.H.I.P. a teen and adult liturgical dance ministry that seeks to usher in the presence of the Jesus Christ through the use of flags, war sticks, and anointed choreography. She is also the founder of Achieve Academic Services that offers tutoring services and professional development to school children and teachers across the United States.
Dr. Gibson is a graduate of Southern University, earning a Bachelor’s in Mass Communication, and has earned a Doctorate of Psychology and Religious Studies through HOPE Bible Institute. She is a licensed Christian Therapist that integrates Biblical principles and psychological practices.
She believes that Psalm 86:12 is her banner “12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.
